Sheraton Old San Juan Pre Cruise April 3-5 |
|
We started our trip at the Sheraton Old San Juan. I purchased the hotel from hotwire for $119.00 per night. Due to this being Easter Week, the hotel was more expensive than normal weeks. The Sheraton Old San Juan is extremely easy to identify on Hotwire. I did not want to chance Priceline because we absolutely wanted to be within walking distance of all Old San Juan attractions.
As mentioned, we picked this resort solely do to it’s location. Of course, the roof top pool where we can watch the ships sail in was appealing. I have been to San Juan numerous times, and we wanted to stay where we could walk the entire city. Since we had several days here, we were able to both tour and shop.
We had a late flight out of Detroit on Thursday, spent the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Atlanta, grabbed an early flight into San Juan and arrived at noon on Friday, April 3rd. |

This is the view from our room. Sheraton on the left. Parking structure on the right.
They positively know who the hotwire/priceline folks are. Our check out man said that typically interior rooms were available for hotwire, but he gave us an exterior anyway (shrug).
A view of the port would have been sweet, but given hotwire was 75% less than the Sheraton web page, we were very happy with our street view. |

Room is very comfortable. Nothing fancy, but the beds are super comfortable. |

Safe fit my 15 inch laptop no problem. Flat Screen was very large for a hotel room. Gym was small but adequate (not shown 2 tread mills and elliptical. |

I took 187 pictures on a walking tour of old San Juan Today. Below are some of my favorites. I absolutely love this town. It is a perfect blend of old city charm with a 21st century twist. |

The pool and Jacuzzi were small and crowded, but the view was fabulous! |
